Daniel Cothran

Daniel has joined the Bluefly.io Collective Community to contribute his expertise, particularly in data visualization. He brings 15 years of experience in web development and digital strategy. As Drupal Lead for JSI, Daniel directs a team to design, develop, and maintain websites for JSI projects funded by the U.S. Government, international organizations (UNICEF, Gavi), foundations, universities, and nonprofits. His team’s websites include public-facing resource repositories, intranets, data platforms, and digital tools. He has experience in every aspect of web development, including analytics, accessibility, back-end development, content strategy, devops, front-end design, SEO, server configuration, and testing. Over the years, Daniel has led proposals, authored strategic and technical documents, and presented on topics such as knowledge management, artificial intelligence (AI), and data visualization. Daniel is an active open source contributor, maintaining a few dozen Drupal modules (including the Charts module). Daniel has professional experience in Ethiopia, India, Kenya, South Africa, and Uganda.
